WebMay 25, 2024 · Discussion Starter · #1 · Apr 9, 2024. Hey guys. GPU in my second PC has just caught fire ( I literally saw the 2-3 inch flame). I had problems with GPU fan which occasionally used to stop and a simple finger push would keep it running. I was planning to buy new GPU as soon as I can but this came too early. Anyways you can see in pictures … WebNext, I keep the GPU inserted into the MB, but unplug the power cable that goes into the GPU from the PSU, and start the PC again. Now, it does boot, but a component on the GPU catches on fire. I obviously quickly shut the PC down. I removed the fan from the GPU to assess the damage on the board, this is what it looks like: Overview:
