WebbRubbersheeting software is used mainly in astronomy and photogrammetry for aligning images with maps. The idea is that the image is as if printed on a rubber sheet which can be pinned in place in parts and moved in other parts. If you use the Photoshop tool as you correct one part of the picture other unwanted parts move.
